A new year full of extratonality is knocking at the door. We start things off with our 25th infrastructure event: a mix of old and new faces. Extratonal regulars might recognize Eric Kinny from his splendid woodcut theater movie Happy Fuji News. Now he's back with a new epic: Scoops of Glory. The programme also includes the musician and sound artist Caeso. with his Karaokê Fonético-YstrandiLovi and the world premiere performance of Bibiri, the improvisational duo project by Maya Felixbot and Aurélie Nyirabikali Lierman. That's three good reasons to leave the house and join the extratonality!

Eric Kinny is woodcut artist based in Brussels, who makes live-edited woodcut movies. After the success of his previous film, Happy Fuji News, he now brings you a new blockbuster edited live with more than 500 original woodblock prints (including commercials) called Scoops of Glory. This movie tells the story of a performance artist turned mayor who sparks a war among ice-cream shops after the passing of a controversial bill.

Caeso. is a brazilian musician, sound artist and researcher, his creative output is diverse, exploring a range of media and DIY practices. For his Phonetic Karaoke-YstrandiLovi he writes: "While listening to a CD found inside a donation box, my thoughts took a strange U-turn, going from the subjective "how can this be good" to the more objective "how can I make this worse" hoping that making a bad album so much worse would actually end up being an improvement to it."

Bibiri consists of Maya Felixbrot and Aurélie Nyirabikali Lierman, two composer-performers and long-time collaborators whose work continually evolves through unexpected contexts and setups. In early 2026, they embarked on a new intimate improvisational duo project, featuring two violas, two shruti boxes, two voices, and whatever sonifiers catch their ears and eyes. This performance at Extratonal in Charlois marks the world premiere of Bibiri.
